Room G- Our Buddy Class :)

Room I's Buddy Class is room G. Room I was really excited about getting room G. They  are year 2's (and they are really cute) We got together for the first time last week. We interviewed them and found out a little about them.

Room I's Super Swimmers Strike Again

We excitedly walked down to the Makino Pools to the swimming sports. It was finally here! Who would win, how would we go? Results were good. Hard work was the key to our success. All our training helped out a lot. Matai and Kowhai had won the house relay. Teachers came first in the parent and teacher race. RESULTS for the final Teachers vs Parents vs children= Teachers 1st Matai 2nd Parents 3rd and Kowhai was sadly last.

Room I Rippa Rugby Rockets

On Thursday 20th Febuary Room I went on the field to have a Rippa Rugby session with one of the Turbos: Nick. At our session we got tought how to rip the tags. After that we got taught how to pass a rugby ball,fun! After that we had a game of Rippa Rugby Seaweed. We had three games and the White Team won.

Manchester Street School Super Swimmers!

For the past 5 weeks the Senior Team have enjoyed a lot of swimming. We have enjoyed Learning the techniques of Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke.  Swimming sports are coming up soon. We are all exited about the event.  Swimming Sports had to be postponed this week but hopefully (fingers crossed) will go ahead next Wednesday 12th March.

! FOXTON BEACH !

On Friday the 21st of February the Senior Team went down to Foxton Beach. We had an awesome time. We learnt all about the 5 safety messages

If in doubt stay out.

Swim in between the flags.

Be prepared.

Watch out for you and others.

Know your limits.

We also learnt about Slip on a t-shirt Slop on some 30+ sunblock Slap on long brim hat and Wrap on some sunnys. We jumped through the waves and had a ton of fun. We all wish we could do it all again.
