Limbo-tastic!

When Ms Todd gave Rm I a clothes rail to hang our costumes on we came up with a much more fun use for it.
Check out our limbo moves below. Lachlan, Taylah, Misty, Akhira and Hannah F showed some very good skills.

ARRstonishing Pirate Picture

On Sunday Nia decided to draw a picture of her brother William and her dressed as pirates. Nia was quite bored so she decided to draw this perfect picture. She used the colouring in pencils and paper she won in assembly from the NZ Book Award competition. She decided to draw this picture to remember when her brother and her were playing pirates. Just after they played pirates her brother William broke his arm. But he is on the mend now and back playing pirates! She used a different variety of colours. She used pastel colours and bolder colours, she also used different shades of colours.

Our first attempt at our Macavity dance for production...

Yesterday the wonderful Maddi and Taylah put together our steps for our Macavity movement.  They did a brilliant job. Then Taylah taught Rm I (and Mrs Palmer, who was terrible!)
All though many of Rm I assured Mrs Palmer that they had 'nailed it' she wasn't  she agreed?! So we took a video of Rm I and you can judge whether we are stage ready.... Check it out below.

Kandinsky Krazy!?

We need some new art displayed on our walls. We studied Geometry last term so Mrs Palmer decided we would draw and dye circles in Kandinsky style.

First we had to fold our page into 8 pieces which relates well to our fractions we are working on in Numeracy. Then the next step was to draw sets of 3 circles in thick lines in rainbow colours in each section.

The last step is to dye them carefully with different colours in each section of the circles.
Beautiful- well done Rm I!
