No Front Line

My Grandad was in the Vietnam War. Stuck in an office hoping he will not get killed. A long time later a parade was held in Wellington. Books were handed out and Massey University was packed from NZ people who fought from 1963 - 1975. A part in the book was about my Grandad. The book is called No Front Line and the chapter he is in is called 'Into Battle'. This is a part he wrote.
"A car bomb went up and the
flames went higher than my
room. I got blown onto the
floor and the shower block
in my room shattered."
My Grandad luckily came out of the war alive but his first chief clerk Dick Griggs died in the explosion, hit by an air conditioner.
